Soooo...a vacation rental customer of mine asked for some help identifying a place on Eleuthera that she saw in a video. This is for her teen children. After doing some research I'm pretty sure I've identified the spot and want to share it with folks on this forum who want a little adventure. First, the video. The jump spot can be seen around the 50 second mark. m.youtube.com/watch?v=2EsgcfVHO-woI believe the GPS coordinates for that spot are: 25° 20.279'N, 76° 23.240'W You can find the location in James Cistern near The Beaches at Moray Pond although I think there is a more direct road that goes there rather than use the miserable access road to the beaches. I haven't tried the road, however, so can't offer any guidance. Happy exploring! Never Miss a Beach!

We went to this jump site yesterday! We used the GPS coordinates to try a couple of access roads that were NOT the miserable Moray Pond access road, but were blocked by construction on one and strategically placed cement blocks on another. We ended up using the James Point Road toward Moray Pond, taking a left at a fork that put us a little closer than Moray Pond. Mr. Cookie's GPS said we would have a 0.66 mile hike to the jump spot, and it ended up being 1 mile (per my smart watch) hike over the treacherous jagged rock. We aren't 100% sure that we were at the right spot, but we did find a spot that our 25 year old son could safely jump. Here is a pic of the pre-jump inspection. I'm happy to say that even after Mr. Cookie gave the thumbs up, the jumping son decided he'd feel better if he also got into the water to make sure he knew what rocks/coral were where. Mr. Cookie and son both reported lots of big fish - we will return some day for a snorkel. On the hike in, there are a couple of really interesting looking coves. It was quite an adventure, with some gorgeous scenery along the way. Winds were out of the SSW, so it was calm enough. When we do this again in the future, we think we might park the car along one of the roads that LOOK like they should provide access, and hike in over land rather than over the rocky shoreline.
