My sisters and I are arriving the second week of November for a week long stay. We are coming in to ELH, renting a car, and are staying in Rainbow Bay. It's my third trip, so I'm pretty familiar with the island, but our previous stays have been in GH and NPP. We will need to stock up on some basic groceries when we arrive and didn't know whether it made more sense to run up to Burchies before heading to our rental, or to go on to East & Final in JC, or even further to GH for the stores there. Our flight arrives around 1ish on Saturday, so I think everything would be open. We're looking for basic items for our first day like bread, milk, eggs, juices, but would buy more for the week if the selection was good. Any advise?

You do have one store closer to you called Big Rock. While they don't have the largest supply, you can generally find things that you need. If you want to do the proverbial 'big shop' after the long trip to Eleu then Burchies would be much more convenient than running all the way to Governor's. I guess if it was me I'd go to Big Rock for essentials then go to East and Final if there was something that Big Rock didn't have, then make a trek to Governor's if I absolutely had to.

Thanks Bret! I wasn’t familiar with Big Rock. That sounds like the perfect solution.

Big Rock is just on the southern end of Rainbow Bay on the left as you head south. It has, ummm, a huge boulder on the northern part of the property near the highway. There's also an auto repair shop on the southern part of the property. Look for the big rock!
